The Essentials

Products & Formulas

Most clean skincare sells you a feeling. We tell you the mechanism. Every Leiba formula is built around named, studied actives at meaningful levels, and we cite the research on each product page so you can read it yourself.

The line is a four-step system designed to work together: Hydrating Oil Cleanser, GFF Brightening Toner, Cellular Defense Serum, and Snow Mushroom Barrier Cream. Each one is fragrance-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the USA in a GMP-certified facility.

Across the whole line: no synthetic fragrance, no dyes, and no sulfates. We preserve the cleanser with a naturally derived ferment system rather than synthetic preservatives. Every formula is vegan and cruelty-free.

We list every ingredient in plain INCI on the label and on each product page. Nothing is hidden behind “fragrance” or “parfum.”

Yes! All four core products are vegan and cruelty-free. We don’t test on animals.

Every product is manufactured in the USA in a GMP-certified facility (Good Manufacturing Practice). Our labels carry the full distributor statement: Dist. by Leiba Beauty, Monroe, CT 06468 USA.

No, and neither is any other cosmetic, despite what some brands imply. The FDA does not approve, certify, or pre-clear cosmetics or their labels. Any brand claiming “FDA-approved” skincare is mistaken about how the law works.

What we do follow is MoCRA (the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act): we manufacture under Good Manufacturing Practice, keep safety-substantiation records for our formulas, and maintain a contact for adverse-event reporting. That’s the real standard, and we meet it.

Store them out of direct sunlight at normal room temperature. Each label shows a Period-After-Opening symbol: the Hydrating Oil Cleanser is 12M (use within 12 months of opening), and the toner, serum, and barrier cream are 24M.

Our serum and moisturizer use airless and pump packaging specifically to limit air exposure, which helps the actives stay stable through that window.

Under the Hood

Ingredients & Science

Because they target uneven tone at the source without stripping the barrier. Niacinamide reduces the transfer of pigment to surface skin cells. Bearberry-derived arbutin works further upstream, slowing the enzyme (tyrosinase) that drives melanin production. GFF supports the skin’s own barrier proteins.

Three mechanisms, one step, and none of them rely on acid exfoliation. The toner pairs comfortably with the rest of your routine.

Yes; gently. The Cellular Defense Serum contains gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA). PHAs lift dull surface cells and add antioxidant support, but their larger molecular size makes them noticeably gentler than traditional AHAs or BHAs. That’s where the light exfoliation in the routine comes from, not the toner.

Snow mushroom (Tremella fuciformis) polysaccharides bind water comparably to hyaluronic acid and form a flexible, non-sticky hydration film on the skin. One practical advantage: unlike HA, it’s less likely to pull moisture out of your skin in a dry environment.

We pair it with a single-weight sodium hyaluronate so you get surface hydration from two complementary humectants rather than relying on one.

In our formula, GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is included for hydration. Published cosmetic research links it to upregulation of aquaporin-3 and filaggrin, two pathways involved in how skin moves and holds water. We use it for that moisture-support role, and nothing more dramatic than that.

It’s a five-component barrier blend — Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, phytosphingosine, and cholesterol — formulated together to mirror the lipids your skin’s barrier is built from. Ceramide-containing formulas are well studied for their ability to support barrier function and reduce water loss.

Astaxanthin is one of the most potent antioxidants used in cosmetic formulation. Per published data, it can neutralize certain reactive oxygen species far more effectively than vitamin C, but we always frame those comparisons as “up to” and “per published data,” because the figures come from lab models, not a guarantee about your skin.

The peptide complex supports the skin’s own collagen-signaling pathways. The efficacy figures you’ll see for it come from the ingredient supplier’s clinical data, and we attribute them that way rather than presenting them as independent proof. We’d rather be precise than oversell.

Putting It Together

Your Routine

Thinnest to thickest: 1) Hydrating Oil Cleanser → 2) GFF Brightening Toner → 3) Cellular Defense Serum → 4) Snow Mushroom Barrier Cream.

In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ as your last step. At night, the Barrier Cream is your final step.

The GFF Brightening Toner is a mist. After cleansing, hold it 6–8 inches from your face and apply 2–3 sprays over your face and neck (or mist onto a cotton pad). Press it in gently with clean fingertips, let it absorb for 30–60 seconds, then follow with your serum.

Yes. The full system is gentle enough for twice-daily use. The only difference: in the morning, layer SPF over the Barrier Cream before you head out. If your skin is new to active ingredients, you can ease in by starting the serum every other day.

Hydration and a smoother feel often show up within the first week or two. Tone and texture changes follow your skin’s natural renewal cycle, generally after several weeks of consistent use. Brightening actives like niacinamide and arbutin work gradually; consistency matters more than intensity.

Before You Start

Skin Safety & Sensitivity

We’re a skincare company, not your medical provider, so we can’t clear any product for your pregnancy. Please check with your OB-GYN or midwife before adding anything new.

What we can tell you factually: none of our four core formulas contain retinoids or salicylic acid. Bring the full ingredient lists (printed on every product page) to your provider so they can make the call with you.

Always a good idea with any new product. Apply a small amount to your inner forearm or behind the ear once daily for a few days and watch for redness or irritation before using it on your face. Introduce one new product at a time so you can tell what your skin is responding to.

All four core products are fragrance-free. We add no synthetic fragrance and no essential oils for scent. Any natural aroma comes from the functional ingredients themselves. As always, read the full INCI list against your known allergens, and patch-test if you’re highly reactive.

Stop using the product and let your skin settle. If irritation is significant or persistent, contact your healthcare provider. We also want to know; email us at [email protected] so we can help and log the report. Tracking adverse events is part of how we keep the line safe.

Who We Are

Brand & Sourcing

Leiba Beauty was founded by Sarah Leiba, BSN, RN, a registered nurse. That clinical background shapes everything: how we read the research, how carefully we word a claim, and why we’d rather name a mechanism than promise a miracle.

Yes, and we show our work. Each product page carries a references section citing the specific studies behind our claims. Where a figure comes from an ingredient supplier rather than independent research, we say so. And we deliberately keep claims inside what the evidence supports: “supports the barrier,” not “erases wrinkles.”

Subscriptions & Auto-Ship

Auto-ship takes 10% off every recurring order. A few examples: the Hydrating Oil Cleanser is $47.99 ($43.19 on auto-ship), the GFF Brightening Toner is $54.99 ($49.49), the Cellular Defense Serum is $77.99 ($70.19), and the Snow Mushroom Barrier Cream is $69.99 ($62.99).

The Complete Radiance Ritual bundle — all four steps in one box — is $224.99, or $202.49 on auto-ship.

You’re in control. Log into your account to skip a shipment, change how often it ships, swap products, or update your payment and address — and you can cancel anytime from there too.

One timing note: changes need to be made at least one week before a scheduled shipment. Inside that one-week window, the upcoming order is locked in and can’t be changed.

There are several auto-ship options every 30 / 60 / 90 days based on product usage.
